Philips DPM8500 Barcode Scanner Digital Pocket Memo
The Philips DPM8500 Digital Recorder is made of lightweight stainless steel, and has perfect ergonomics for working over longer periods of time. Also new to the DPM8500 is a built in motion sensor which can tell what position the recorder is in, and automatically changes the microphone selection. For example, when you are holding the recorder up to speak, the new 3D microphone is set to dictation mode, but place the recorder on its' back on a table and the motion sensor changes the microphone to conference mode automatically.
The DPM8500 has an integrated barcode scanner which enables you to link client or patient data to a recording by simply scanning a barcode, even from a computer monitor. This ensures reliable organisation of client or patient IDs and speeds up your workflow.
The ACC8120 docking station comes as standard with the DPM8500 and together they make connecting to your computer as simple as possible. Just place the recorder into the dock to connect to your computer.
Your recordings can be secured in real time using 256bit encryption, so that only the author and typist who know the password will be able to open and playback the files. The DPM8500 can also be locked by a pin code, so only authorised users can operate it. These features can only be setup with Philips SpeechExec Pro Dictate software.
